Day 1: Your trip begins with an early morning pickup from the hotel you reside in Istanbul to Istanbul/Sabiha airport, according to your scheduled flight to Izmir. On your arrival to Izmir airport you will be greeted and transported to the Ephesus site.
You will embark on a journey through the rich history of Ephesus, a city that was once the epicenter of trade, culture, and religion in the ancient world. You’ll visit the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and explore the ruins of the city, including the Hadrian Temple, Celsus Library, hammams, and the Anfie Theater. Take in the charming beauty of the Isabey Mosque before enjoying a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. End the day by visiting the House of the Virgin Mary, a place of pilgrimage for Christians as recognized by the Vatican. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel in Selcuk/Kusadasi for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Start your second day with an early transfer to Pamukkale, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and natural wonder. Marvel at the magnificent hot springs and travertine terraces formed by the accumulation of carbonate minerals over the centuries. Take a dip in the Cleopatra Swimming Pool and visit the ancient city of Hierapolis, known for its well-preserved Roman ruins and the Necropolis with its sarcophagi, including the Sarcophagus of Marcus Aurelius. Enjoy a delightful lunch at a local restaurant before ending your Pamukkale tour at 4:30 pm. Our driver will then transfer you to Denizli airport for your return flight to Istanbul/Sabiha Gokcen airport, where another driver will be waiting to transport you back to your hotel.
